Eavesdropping

After I helped him change into his Spiderman costume, Jacob ran into the family room to fight villains, shoot webs, and scale tall buildings (i.e. our furniture). At least, that's what I assumed he rushed off to do. But when I looked over, I saw him talking to his reflection in the fireplace. Naturally, as any nosy mother would do, I strained to hear what he was saying.

With his hands on his hips, I overheard him say,
"My mommy is so sweet."

Did I really hear him correctly? I walked over and asked, "What did you say?"

He whipped his head around, and sheepishly said, "I didn't say anything."

I felt a little bad for putting him on the spot, but I had to know.
Me: "Did you say your mommy is so sweet?"

He nodded yes.

Me: "You mean me? I'm so sweet?"

Jacob: "Yes."

Me: "Why?"

Jacob: "Because you're my best friend."

And then he gave me a hug.

The cuteness is overwhelming sometimes.

Okay, that is officially adorable. And I love that he was talking to his reflection. He's such a cutie.
PS- I can't wait until Alex starts talking. I can't even imagine the things that'll come out of that kid's mouth. :)

I second Kerri. And I'm just going to go on record as saying that I'm quite convinced you officially have the cutest boys I know. Oh My Goodness... how do you handle it?!
