Art imitating life

My two current favorite works of art by my sweet and creative 5-year old:

I'm the giant figure in the middle. I love how huge I am compared to everyone else on the page. The people flying around me are all family, and include Jeff (he's to my left with the black hair- Jacob and Alex are convinced Jeff's hair is black, and not dark brown), Alex, Jacob, and cousins, Daniel & Lainey. And the object on my chest? No, not a bedazzled bikini top. That's Baby Will in a Baby Bjorn. How adorable is that?

And my most recent favorite was drawn just a few days ago. Out of the blue, Jacob walked up to me and presented me with this one. Gray clouds (that adorably look like little beans) and raindrops with a tiny sun peeking out in the corner...a beautiful little rainbow (one of Jacob's favorite things in life)...and a happy, smiling mommy.

While I'm fairly certain I don't own a blue strapless dress, I'd say however unintentionally, he captured his mommy pretty well in these two works of art.

Holding a baby.
Surrounded by family.
Enjoying simple pleasures in life like rain and rainbows (to name a couple, although no one can love a rainbow as much as Jacob).

And most (simply) of all, happy. Because I am.

I love my black-haired husband, my family, and my life. And I especially love being a mommy to my 3 little boys.

You'd be a happy, smiling stick figure too if you were me.

There needs to be a "like" button. (or maybe I spend too much time on fb) Jacob's artwork is great.

Great post. I love the way you are so huge in the first one.
