When I forget to pick it up, a certain white dog will choose it for a napping spot instead of her own comfortable bed.
Flies are even attracted to it, providing a 5-month old boy with the exciting activity of tracking its flight pattern with his eyes.
I'm even unable to resist the temptation of the blanket, and often find myself sprawled out on it beside Will. Of course, part of the appeal just might be that it provides a tired mommy with the chance to play and lie down.
And a blanket is tons of fun for this particular 5-month old. With or without a visiting fly.
Two other little boys are also drawn to the blanket. And to their baby brother.
"Three kids and toys on a tiny blanket...umm, not a lot of room here, guys."
Now that Will has become so mobile during tummy time, he enjoys his blanket even more. I had to dig an old twin comforter from the depths of the linen closet to use in place of the tiny blanket that used to be sufficient. And I still feel like I'm sliding him back onto the blanket more often than I'd like to.
And if I thought the teeny tiny blanket was irresistible? A comforter on the floor is impossible to ignore. The big boys sprawl out on it, rolling and writhing, sighing contentedly, and saying, "Ahhh, this is so comfy!"
Luckily, Will doesn't mind sharing his space with two of his favorite people in the world.

Yeah, he was definitely in need of a bigger blanket. I think he'll be crawling in no time. He's got that rocking motion down pat.
Camden's also fascinated with bugs-- if it flies, creeps, or crawls, he must study it (or try to grab it).
I love these pictures. So cute. You and Jeff make beautiful children.
even tho I am so tired, i have to come look to see what I've missed today & especially if I don't get a good facebook fix, I count on the blog to make me smile. Enjoy seeing the boys so much! Swwet stories, Mommy!
